SMPP API

The industry standard in SMS messaging.

The SMPP-protocol (Short Message Peer to Peer) is the standard protocol for the telecommunications industry for exchanging SMS messages between Short Message Service Centre (SMSC), External Short Messaging Entity (ESME) and Routing Entities (REs). Due to its versatility, it is often used for the exchange of short messages outside of SS7-network (Signalling System 7).

SMPP support

SMPP was developed for professional SMS messaging and mass messaging by industry. Many third-party tools have SMPP connectivity. You can use our SMPP implementation for this type of integration. However, we recommend using our Messaging API for all communication with our services, which offer all the benefits of SMPP plus additional features.

For the configuration, please contact our customer service to set up the SMPP profile for your account.
